Its a thought provoking question and a great one to ask.
Generally you will wake up in the morning, probably to the sound of an alarm beeping at you. 3 snoozes later you eventually roll out of bed, complete your morning routine. Stopping for a coffee, listening to Spotify whilst commuting your way for another day of stress, deadlines and annoying workmates or clients.
If you have not already, you might have started to wonder is this all there is? Is this all that life has to offer? There is NO WAY that I was born to just pay bills and die!?
Changing your routine is never easy, especially when you feel you have responsibilities to adhere to, however it is possible. If you had a choice, what would you rather be doing? Is it working in job that provides nil, nada, zero satisfaction or living your dream and your passion, your life purpose?
Deep down you probably have questioned the direction and road your are travelling along but know - this is not what you want or what you signed up for. A great first step is to place this very question "What do you hope to achieve by bedtime tonight?" on your bedside table or on the backdoor of your bathroom or on your fridge. It will be the first thing you read when you wake and this question will create a chain reaction of thought provoking ideas to start you on your journey to goal setting - and living a fulfilled life!
What do you hope to achieve by bedtime tonight? Some simple examples are:
Catch up with an old friend?
Give a family member a call that you have been putting off?
Cook a new recipe you have been meaning to cook?
Update your resume so you can start to look for a new job?
Start investigating in opening your own business?
Read 3 chapters from a new book?
Start focusing on your fitness by walking around the block?
Have 1 cup of coffee instead of 2?
The list is endless!
What did I hope to achieve?
Well, mine was to take timeout from work commitments and give 100% of my attention to my 2 year old daughter from the moment she woke up till she fell asleep at night. Tick! Goal achieved. As for tomorrow, ill decide when I wake up what that will be...
